The Bürgerstiftung Remagen was founded on July 12, 2005 as a public foundation with legal capacity under civil law. The work of the foundation is mainly carried out by honorary, voluntary helpers. Many people from Remagen are involved with a wide variety of skills in the foundation's many different areas of work.
We are a community of active people. We look and do something. We feel responsible. As citizens, we want to play an active role in shaping the city in which we live. We think that many social tasks can only be solved today through additional private and personal commitment. We aim to strengthen the personal responsibility of citizens. Because personal responsibility is the basis for community spirit. We support people so that they can help themselves and others. In doing so, we do not strive for short-term success, but for lasting effects.

Civic engagement contributes significantly to a lively and diverse city.Current and future challenges of our society can often no longer be met by the public sector. Foundations are therefore playing an increasingly important role - as initiators, financial partners and project sponsors. The Remagen Citizens' Foundation lives above all from the commitment of all citizens in Remagen. Each of you can help us through your personal participation in the foundation. The Bürgerstiftung Remagen is therefore pleased if you want to contribute your skills and time as a volunteer. We welcome everyone who actively takes on interesting tasks. This is how you can become a Zeitstifter for our foundation. Donors of time are also particularly important for our foundation, as many small and large tasks have to be dealt with on a voluntary basis. Let's do good together!
